Friday and Saturday we were at the all star games for our step grandson. His team came in second place. They won on Friday night. Saturday night, the team lost, but he made an awesome catch. Fun-fun-fun... baseball in the rain.
Father's day was nice this year. We went to the kids house to celebrate along with extended family. I baked a big salmon, yum. We stopped by to see how my Uncle was doing. It was extremely emotional for my boys. Brandon was out of town so he hadn't seen Uncle this ill. We stayed pretty late, just sitting there in the quiet. Hubby spent the night to help take care of him.
Monday was a long day. I don't know what made it a long day, but it was. In the afternoon we had a recognition ceremony to attend. It was in honor of my 11 year old step grandson. After that we went to the kids house for a fish fry. I know. Fried! But it was so good! Brandon had gone deep sea fishing on Saturday and he brought back a bunch of fish fillets. He caught 14 fish. How fun is that! Well, he was fishing with Ashley, her dad, brothers, cousins, and uncles. Hmmmm... how fun was that? LOL *just kidding* Actually, he did have fun. They didn't give him too bad a time.
Earlier in the evening we got on the baby-cam with the babies. It was bedtime for both babies, so we didn't stay online long, but it was fun while it lasted.
So anyway, we had fried fish. I found a recipe on recipezaar.com, posted by Mysterygirl, for Long John Silver's fried fish batter. It's a highly rated - reviewed recipe and it is good. Dinner was on the table fairly late because of the hectic schedules our family has, but it was relaxing. We sat around the table visiting for a long time. I love nights like that.
Tonight was just relaxing... we didn't go anywhere.
Birthday wishes to Andrea and Anniversary wishes to Aaron and Lisa....
