Summer Vacation

It's summer! School is out and it's officially summer all in one day. I'm not sure how the school district managed that one this year.

I have always loved having the kids home for summer. New adventures are in the works. Not as many adventures now days as when I had all six children home. The older boys are all working and T-man wants to start working soon. I don't want him to. Once a kid starts working that's it for the rest of his working years. Part time work, full time school leads directly into full time work, girlfriends in some spare time, work... work... work... wife, babies... full time family and more work, work, work....

I'm encouraging T-man to stay home, be a kid. Do stuff with your mom, hang out with friends, create, play baseball in the park, and swim all summer. If it works out take a road trip or two. Working... money... it's highly over rated. *JK*

We've taught our kids to be responsible, they are all hard working and I'm proud of each one of them. I know once T-man starts working he will be just as hard working and responsible as the older kids. But I really think he should be a kid and enjoy one more summer without the responsibility of a job. He's only 16 for a few more short weeks. Be a kid! Enjoy life... let Dad pay for your shoes.
