So... Ya Free This Saturday?

What makes for a fun day together is all in the eye of the beholder.

Last night Kevin and I were hanging out together. He was reading the newspaper and I was doing my own thing. Times like this, every once in awhile, if he finds something he deems interesting, he'll read it to me. Well. He starts reading this article. Out loud.

Kevin: ""Everett High School's Naval Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps will host an all-day meet competition Saturday." The color guard will be there."

Short pause, then he continues to read the rest of the article.

Another short pause, then he says, "Hm. An all day ROTC competition"

Me: At this point I had not said a word. All sorts of thoughts are running through my mind, but I hadn't expressed them.

Kevin: "Sounds like a fun day."

Really? Seriously... really?

Me: I glanced his direction and before I knew it, I caught his eyes. At that point I knew he was serious. I couldn't help it. I'm serious, I tried to not react. A second later I broke into a fit of giggles. Next thing ya know I was down right laughing.

My giggling and laughing continued long into the night.

Yeah. I'd say that would be a fun day. Indeed.

If you are free Saturday... there ya go. An all day long ROTC drill meet competition (no doubt - with color guard), 2416 Colby Ave., Everett Washington. this Saturday, 9:00 am. Sharp.

By the way. I won't be there.
