Six Weeks... Where Did the Time Go?

Well, I can't even believe it's already January 2008. Not only is it January, but it's January 5th! Where oh where did the time go...

We've been a little bit busy around here. Andi and the baby were here for six weeks. Six... WEEKS. Mitch flew out here a couple of different times. He came back on the 20th of December and they all flew home yesterday.

They were suppose to fly out on Thursday, but when we got to the airport we learned their flight was a couple hours late, so they would miss their flight from Denver. Well, we brought them back home and enjoyed one more evening with them, and we got to get up in the morning and snuggle a baby girl.

We spent a lot of time sitting around the dining table long after the meal was over. We spent several evenings playing board games. Our favorites include Clue, monopoly, Risk, sequence, and pictionary. What fun memories...

It was wonderful having the baby girl here for so many weeks. She's such a sweet little baby... this grandma loved rocking her to sleep every night and waking up to baby snuggles every morning. Aw... there is something about snuggling a baby that just makes everything seem right in the world.

I missed my baby girl snuggles this morning...

It's going to be awhile before I see the kids again. I cried when I handed baby girl off to her daddy at the airport and I'm crying now as I write. I'll warn you now. I'll probably talk about my time with the kids a lot during the next few weeks. I'll probably whine... and post way too many photos of the babies. And I'll look forward to the next time I see all my children and grand babies once again... the Good Lord willing... September.
