Grilled Porkchops

I love to grill outside on the charcoal grill. This is one of my favorite recipes for marinade. When I use this marinade for chicken or pork chops I always get rave reviews from my extremely picky but very darling hubby....

Marinade - mix in a large Ziploc bag:

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/3 cup light soy sauce

  • 2 TBS oil

  • 2 TBS lemon juice

  • 1 TBS lemon pepper

  • 4 cloves garlic more or less to taste - I usually use more

  • 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger (optional)

Add the pork chops to the bag and let marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator. I prefer to let mine marinate from morning until it’s time to prepare dinner.  This is plenty of marinade sauce for eight pork chops. Squeeze the excess air out of the bag, seal it up, squeeze the bag so the marinade is spread throughout the meat.  Put it in the fridge. Turn the bag a couple of times throughout the day (or couple of hours).

I grill my pork chops over a medium-hot grill for 15 minutes, turning once.

I'm going to earmark this recipe. We have pork chops planned later in the month and I love to try new stuff. Sounds good.

Gale, I hope you let me know if your family enjoys this. If your family isn't use to ginger, I'd suggest you leave that option out. We use ginger quite a bit in our cooking.
