Chocolate Covered Trash Can

This past baking season I had to dump a partial container of cocoa. The powdery cocoa went airborne, clinging to everything as it landed. My white trash container was covered in a fine mist of cocoa... okay so it's a cocoa covered trash can, but chocolate sounds better. You see my point? Anyway, I use a trash liner, so I have no idea how the interior was covered in cocoa, but it was.

I have tried so many products trying to get my white trash container white again. Dawn, 409, bleach, the list goes on... and on. It looked old and very disgusting, almost to the point of disturbing. I mean, it sits out in my kitchen for all to see. I thought about trashing it, but I have this thing about loading our landfill with usable items.

Recently I bought a degreaser cleaner for another cleaning project I was working on last summer. It's in a purple gallon container, sold in the car wash - RV department of Wallmart. I can thank Connie for turning me onto this cleaner. Ohmygosh! This stuff is amazing. I sprayed it on and let it sit for a few brief seconds, then I used a scrubber sponge on it, rinsed it off and whoa-la.... I have a white trash can!

Yep, gotta love that super clean! I use it everywhere. Marshall bought an old truck one time that was some old guys fishing truck. He never drove it anywhere but fishing. It was blue with a funny brown interior. When he brought it home, I decided to clean it up for him to surprise him. I found Super Clean at the local NAPA and set to work. The first thing I did was spray down the doors inside. They weren't brown at all, but as the grime rolled down the door, it exposed the same blue as the outside. I cleaned one door, but had to wait until he came hope to do the other, so he could watch. I have been hooked every since. It works wonder sprayed onto the carpet (in the car) scrubbed in and then shampooed out! Makes me want to go clean my Suburban :)

Super Clean. In a purple bottle in the automotive dept. I love it, and almost always have a half empty bottle under my sink. Used it today on my tennis shoes from the "mud run"
