Summer in Seattle

Yesterday was our 27th wedding anniversary. DH came home from work early and we took off to the city.

We walked along the beach in West Seattle and landed ourselves on a park bench. It's the middle of Seafair in Seattle. Three small planes (not the blue angels) were practicing for their air show during the hydroplane races. Here's are a couple of sights we don't see everyday.

The street life in Ballard is always fun.

We went to Golden Gardens to walk on the sandy beach. The park was packed as usual. But it was worth the wait to find parking. The sand was warm and so soft between my toes. I love walking barefoot in the sand!

I couldn't resist taking a photo of these children. They were having a good time building sand castles in the water's edge.

The end of a perfect day...
