We just got home. I know, it's nearly Saturday morning not Friday night. We went to Kat's game tonight. Friday night games in little league. Most of her games don't even start until 8:00. What a way to spend a Friday night. Dear Hubby and I were laughing about it on the way home. It was cold but we enjoyed it. Who knew we'd be watching grandkids play ball this early in our lives. I generally say I'm too young to be a grandma...
Oh that reminds me! My son is years younger than my DIL.... almost a Demi - Ashton thing going on. We've known the step-grand kids all their lives. So even though I usually refer to the kids as my grandkids they don't call me grandma. I'm okay with that... just so long as the grand babies don't call me by my first name.
Anyway, I've heard the little boys call me grandma then they just burst into giggles. I was wondering what they were thinking. Awhile back I found out what they were thinking! Our 11 year old step-grandson told his mom he can't call me grandma because I don't look like a grandma! Oh what a sweet child!!! I laughed. Okay so he's right... I don't look much older than his mom, but I thought how sweet!
What a week. It's not always about grandkids. I have more photos of flowers... and no, I haven't shared any of them yet. Just a week ago we went up to Mt. Vernon to see the tulip fields and the fields were gorgeous. Thursday we went up again. No flowers. Well, there were flowers at a couple of the commercial gardens... but most of the huge tulip fields are gone. It was quite a day though. We went to another garden between here and there. We strolled around for the longest time. We sat on park benches throughout the gardens... listening to the birds and the peacefulness of it all. It was beautiful. I will share photos. I'm just not sure when I'll have time to do it.
Well, I could probably ramble on for awhile here. But if I don't post this soon it will be Saturday.... good night!
