A Walk Through My Gardens

It was a lovely day today. My mom has been wishing to get out and view the flower gardens. She loves walking through the garden on the hill. With that thought in mind, I took a short walk with my camera in hand… Since she cannot make it up to the garden, I will bring the garden to her.

This beautiful butterfly was right off the front porch. It wouldn’t hold still long enough for me to get a good shot. Maybe next time.

This peony is one of my mom’s favorite plants. Apparently it loves our weather this year, as it has grown very tall, and it has several blooms. We can see it from the dining room. Every now and then a breeze comes down from the garden and fills the room with the loveliest scent.

The peony smells so sweet… I think it is my newest favorite fragrance.

I know, isn’t it beautiful!

A few of my flowerbeds have gone wild this year…
Yeah. I have embraced the weeds.DSC_7982

My Rusty Garden Angel is peeking out from behind the clematis vine.

My craft room is very neglected this year… the wisteria vine is giving it a big ol’ hug.

Mom planted quite a few flowers in pots on the front porch. These little pots are so cute…DSC_7994

So glad you stopped by and wandered through the gardens with me…

Awe, Kim, it was nice of you to drop by the blog again. It was a strange year for flowers once again here in the PNW, wasn't it? Hopefully we all have beautiful peonies next year :)

Yes, I am really thinking of moving mine around in the garden again, or something. I am really a little depressed about them. But a friend and I were talking about how the garden changes as the trees grow, etc. And you really a entirely different place every couple of years.

It is so true, some of our trees and large shrubs grow so quickly, making for an ever changing landscape. The peonies may like a change of space.
