So I go into the kitchen and put the tea kettle on for my morning cup of tea. Then I turn around and start to unload the dishwasher. All of a sudden there is an explosion like a gunshot right behind me. I jump and turn in one motion.... sparks are flying clear across the kitchen. It looks like a fourth of July celebration gone wrong.
I surprised myself when I started screaming and backing into the corner as far as I could. The sparks were dying down, but the flames were shooting higher...
I knew I had to turn that burner off. But I'm in the kitchen barefoot and sparks are still shooting. I took a chance... and didn't get burned. About the time I come running out of the kitchen, Taylor came running into the dining room. He made sure I was okay. Then he made sure burner was off. When he picked the tea kettle up, the burner came up with it.
The burner and the kettle were welded together.
I need coffee.

I guess! A bit of excitement there! God is so wonderful to watch out for us, though. It's just amazing. I'm glad that you're finally posting again.
Neena, it really is amazing! I feel very blessed this afternoon. When I finally picked up the tea kettle, it was empty. There is a huge hole in the bottom of the tea kettle. So not only did I have hot sparks and a melted vinyl floor in my kitchen, I had water and electricity mixing together! I know God was watching over me today.
Wow!
Wow! How scary, I just ran in to take care of the oatmeal that I forgot on the stove. Probably never would have remembered if I hadn't read your post. Ruined. Sigh. At least there were no flames etc. Nice to hear from you again.
