Since Andrea won't be out here when the baby is born, we bought tickets to fly out there this fall. I'm going to miss my mom's 70th birthday... but we'll plan her party for when I'm home. I talked to Lisa because I'm going to miss the little mister's second birthday too. She said not to worry, we'll have his party when I get home.
I hate to fly... I would much rather be planning a road trip.
I love a good road trip... no maps, no definate plans... just hit the road and head toward a final destination, but no specific date of arrival or return date. All I need is good music,  a camera, favorite junk food, and a good travel companion. Of course during this time of high priced fillups at the gas pump, a hefty bank account would be a good thing.
Aw well... I'm flying and I'm happy about it. I get to see my grandbabies in a few short months!
Oh wow! I just, this moment, realized I'll be there for a baby girl's first birthday! LOL Well, now I'm glad the day I wanted to fly was all booked!

It will be nice for you to see them again, in spite of missing those birthdays. But it's really nice that the parties will be planned for after you are home, so that you will still get to celebrate them together! Good Luck on your journey.
