Baby Shower Photos

I can't believe how time can fly by when you least expect it. Our grandbaby will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. Last Saturday, when baby girl was one week old,  we had a baby shower.  We thought it was going to be a little gathering of family and friends to come over for a small luncheon, just to break up the days for Lisa. It was a good turn out of over 24 ladies.

It happened to be the hottest day of the summer so far. UGH. You know, no air conditioning because we are, after all, in the greater Seattle area. Who needs Ac when our average high temps during the summer months are in the 70s. Well, we should have air, because when the temps reach 80 we feel like we are melting... and you can imagine how we feel when the temps are in the 90s and the house is full of warm bodies.  LOL Well... anyway, we had a great time visiting and oohing and awing over super sweet girlie baby gifts and a very adorable baby girl.

I posted a few photos of the baby shower on my Life is Good Through My Digital Camera Lens blog. I will post a few more photos of the shower later...

She is so sweet. It is rather strange to have such hot weather! Every sunny day, I wonder if there is some truth to the whole "Global Warming" thing. It's kind of hard to believe when you are living on the West Coast in the winter, but when you wake up one day and all of a sudden it's summer (I think it was about a week after the summer solstice! LOL), high in the degrees makes you think "Maybe so, maybe so."

Uhh... about the global warming, I mean.

Thanks Gale!

Maybe so... maybe so.. considering it was snowing in the mountains so late in the season, and considering we had a fire in the wood stove right up until a couple weeks ago... hmmm lol
