Junior Kidnapping

The class of 2008 isn't in school anymore, so the class of 2009 has staked claim to being the senior class on campus. There is a little tradition at our school where the junior (senior) girls go around to all the junior (senior) boys homes and kidnap them for the night. T-man was kidnapped by a fun group of girls. They called me a few weeks ago, to get permission. There will only be 16 or 17 kids at his party. Super chaperoned by the girls parents. There are 3 or 4 parents from the police department... I don't think anything illegal will be going on at this party.

Knowing there would be a group of girls here at nine tonight, I wasn't sure T-man should go swimming, but he went and he washome by nine. He had gone up to bed, but wasn't in bed when the girls came in. They were late, because we are hard to locate in the dark. The back of their shirts said COPS in big black letters. They snuck up on the deck and up the stairs... where they all banged on his door and barged into his room. They hand cuffed him, and put blinders over his eyes. I took a couple photos, then they were off.  They hauled him out the door as they were all giggling. Someone remembered he needed shoes... and a backpack for school tomorrow.

What fun. It reminded me of the night I was one of the chauffeurs and chaperoned for Andrea's junior kidnapping party. That seems like decades ago... I know how much fun the kids had at that party. I'm sure T-man will have fun tonight.

Wow... this is my baby... and my last child to do these fun high school traditions.

That's an interesting tradition. We have our own tradition at our school. The tradition is: sometimes do lots of extra school, and sometimes don't do ANY text book school. Of course, that may be the tradition of all home schoolers. I don't know.
