Fall Cleaning

I do most of my entertaining in the fall and winter months, so it makes perfect sense to me to do a deep fall cleaning, rather than a deep spring cleaning. This way my home is clean and ready for all the holiday parties. Our holiday season starts out with a birthday party in October.

My fall homekeeping list includes:

Kitchen - this is always the 'big job' so I put it off till last.

  • Ovens
  • Cook-top & fan hood
  • Cupboards - empty each one - wipe down & replace shelf liner as needed
  • Pantry - empty - wipe down. Organize. Update my inventory list.
  • Clean under the sink - repaint if needed
  • Clean under and behind refrigerator
  • Clean the light panels
  • Wash curtains

This list is from memory, I'm probably forgetting a few things. I have an actual printed list in my home planner notebook. I do some of these chores several times throughout the year, but some things, like emptying my kitchen 100% only happens once a year. These are the 'inside' chores.

I have a daily list, a weekly list, and a monthly list too. I'll post them in the future...
