It's been too hot to hang out at home without AC or a pool.
Yesterday we went shopping. Everwhere we went babies were crying. I can appreciate a crying baby. They are as hot and tired as we are. I take exception to one of them. We were in Macy's china and crystal department. The AC felt soooo good!
There is a baby screaming her head off and pitching a huge fit. Her problem was her big sister. So this baby isn't hot (remember how cool it is with the AC), she's just tired of big sister. I'd say the big sister was about 7 or 8 years old. Mom was not to be seen at this point. Big sister is shoving the stroller around the display cases in the china and crystal, jerking baby back and forth, forward and backward. How that kid managed to not knock over dozens of china displays is beyond me. This went on for several minutes. Long.... drawn out.... minutes. Finally the mom shows up. Did she do anything? No... Did she take the baby and leave? No. Those poor ladies working in sales... I wonder how often they have to deal with kids like that.

Some reason everything kid related is so magnified in a store. I instantly notice a crying baby in a store and can't hardly keep my hands off. I just want to comfort them. I am so thankful that I can now leave my little ones at home with big sis. I'm a nervous wreck if I have a baby crying in the store. Not worth the shopping when it's like that.
It's great big sis will sit with the little ones. It makes a huge difference in the ease of shopping when you can go without little ones.
