Memorial Day Camp Slideshow

I can't figure out how to get the slide shows to work with this wordpress blog so I'm just going to send you over to my photo blog to view the slide show of the Memorial Day Church camp.

Camp was so much fun! The weather was beautiful. It has snowed on us in previous years. Camping in the snow! Oh my goodness it has been cold up there. Not this year, just beautiful and sunny during the day. It is cold at night though. The camp is in Eastern Washington up near the Canadian border way up in the hills. The grounds are beautiful even if the cabins are getting old.

Oh I know, when you see the bunks we slept in you'll probably be grossed out, but it's not that bad. Really, it's not LOL!  I always spray them down and then I put down a plastic sheet between my bedding and the mattress. Anywho... there is a kitchen and hot showers! We are roughing it, but not completely. It is luxury compared to the old camp!

Where we use to camp there was an old outhouse building around a pot covering a mile deep pit. No hot water, really, the water was from a creek with mountain water. Brrrr. YUK. It was miserable camping with little kids and I had six little ones.

I wasn't the only one with a bunch of little kids. I'm just the one that complained the loudest I think. I laugh now, but I cried at the time. It rained every year and everything we owned was wet by the second day. Me and the kids were always wet and freezing cold. To this day I think that is my mom's favorite camp ground. Of course she was camped in a cozy trailer and the last couple years up there she was in a motor home. Maybe that was the difference. I just know I dreaded the Memorial weekend campout back then.

Oh how things have changed. I love the new camp grounds. I think they've been camping at the 'new' grounds for about 10 years.

I have several hundred photos... *friends 'n family* If you want a CD call or email me and I'll ship one right out to you.

Be sure to check the slideshow on the photoblog page!
