In The Beginning It Was So Easy UGH! CSS External Style Sheets

HTML came fairly easy to me. I created pretty graphics so naturally I had to create pretty pages to display my graphics to the world. My simple html coded pages worked in nearly all browsers. I mean, at the time we only had a couple choices for browsers. Netscape or IE. It was easy to keep up with the codes that worked in both. I knew a couple people back in the day used opera but so few used it and I wasn't concerned if my pages looked goofy for them or not. They weren't exactly into "pretty pages". lol! So I get tickled at the thought. Anywho I'm just wondering why the codes can't be as easy now as they were then.

I know, I have a site or two or three... who's counting? Really. So I should be up to date with the codes. But this is torture for me! I actually use front page and some other software for my other sites. Oh, did I just admit that outloud? But this is my personal family... let me play on the internet site. This is where I get to learn to code CSS in notepad. Oh JOY! Can ya feel my joy? *note the slight sarcasm*

Actually I'm thrilled right now. I just put together a page using an external style sheet and it really has a background, divs here and there setting things apart, and it didn't crash my stystem! yay! Here is my practice page. Amateur Photography

There are some very wordy people out there discussing CSS while trying to teach the newbie how to create a style sheet. Here is a list of a few tutorials I actually learned something from.
