Not A Typical Saturday in January

I'm not sure what our typical Saturday in January is like but I do know this was not it.Brandon, Taylor, and I just spent the day outside doing some fall clean-up. I know. It's the middle of winter, you don't need to point that out to me. LOL

Oh what a beautiful day it is! Sunshine on the hill!

The yardand deck is looking so much better!I couldn't believe how awful it was. In our defense we were gone for aover a monthduring late summer. Then came fall.... I was out of town for a couple months. When I got home it was chaos getting ready for Christmas and New Yearswith less than two weeks to prepare. When we finally had the timeto do anything we were in a deep freeze or under a layer of snow... I'm not that into cold weather activities. Besides, it all looked so pretty with a blanket of snow. As soon as the snow melted I was horrified to see how awful the yard looked.

Our deck was looking like the local dumping ground. Didn't know what to do with something? Go ahead... leave it on the deck to take care of later. Our gorgeous 14'x35' deck was feeling awfully small. Not to mention how gross it looked with all that junk.

It's not beautiful yet, but we aren't the neighborhood eyesore anymore :) Not that the neighbors can see our yard anyway... but I can see it! I can appreciate the work we did today!
