Special Delivery

Last night, after my grandson’s football game, we had company. Our granddaughter baked a pumpkin cheesecake, and she brought some to share.

Creamy, rich, and oh so good…

We had such a wonderful visit. She filled us in on many details from her recent trip to the midwest. As we sat here visiting, I thought about her as the cute little girl she was… and I am stunned by the beautiful young woman she has grown up to be. And I don’t know why, but I was surprised she can bake. She can bake cheesecake! Pumpkin cheesecake!!

Fall Flowers of Friendship and Love

The Tulips are continue to bloom beautifully, even though they are on their last days. fall tulipautumn tulip

Megan and Drew brought the tulips over for their grandma. It has been awhile. I didn’t think to take a photo when they were in their prime bloom. But they are still pretty. The chrysanthemum is from one of mom’s dearest and oldest friends.

The candle is a Harry & David candle, pumpkin pie scent. It smells amazing. When this candle is lit, just about everyone coming into the house thinks I’m baking a pumpkin pie.  harry & david pumpkin pie candle

I love autumn and all the beautiful colors of fall. I haven’t done much decorating… okay. I haven’t done any decorating for fall this year.  That is, other than this little group of flowers on the table with the pumpkin candle. The touch of fall colors, the scent of pumpkin pie baking, and the chilly mornings, it definitely feels like fall in our home.
